i speak so eloquently
the fbi - Her job is the biggest aspect of her being. For a human to exist, they must have a niche, something they do that makes their existance meaningful, or else life for them would be meaningless. For Scarlett, that is her job. To her, the fact she is a shifter makes her a worse person, and so she lives to redeem her pitiful existance through the tracking of the FBI sought shifters. She has always aspired to be in the FBI even as a child, and so takes her job very personally. She is adept in guns, and loves to use them. She is a great shot, and nearyl never misses her target. Along with her ability for guns, she is extremelly bright. Her IQ is above average, giving her intelligence that is valuable for her line of work.
the social - Scarlett may very well be the most socially challenged individual the world has ever known. She is not at home in a crowd, and if she could make the decision, would prefer to be alone every moment. She has no problem communicating with people at her work, or other people who are extremelly intelligent. If the conversation is about something she's adept to, the words come out easily. However, it's those everyday situations so many others are so good at she gets tongue twisted in. Especially those of the romantic sort; she has no idea how to flirt. Most of the time she'll view a pickup line as a literal question, and thus answer accordingly. That, obviously, is enough to send her potential suitor packing.
the alone - Scarlett is most comfortable being alone. She enjoys working alone, thinking alone, and all of her hobbies are best done when she is alone.
• • • loves:
- Her job as an FBI agent
- Guns. She owns several, which she constantly has on her.
- Action movies. She's usually not the time to waste her time on entertainment, but she does enjoy a good chase movie with a lot of shooting and such.
- Books. She likes to read, when there is time.
- Rain. She doesn't particularly like the daytime and sun. She enjoys the rain and thunderstorms most. Peculiarly, she enjoys going outside when it's raining without any sort of umbrella or jacket, and takes walks until she's drenched.
- The full moon. Most of the time, Scarlett is pretty bitter and serious, but when there is a moon revealed, a full moon especially, she is often found to be in a lighter mood.
- Intelligent people. She can't stand people without common sense.
• • • hates: - Stupid people.
- Shape shifters. Hipocrit.
- Weak people. People who are afraid.
- Romance. Romance scares her; she doesn't know how to react in those types of situations, and when placed in one can only blush, and stutter.
- Cooking has always been an enemy of hers. Anything she tries to cook burns, so she tends to stick to fast food or things that come in cans.
- Summer and sunshine. Blegh.
- Any color besides black. She enjoys wearing black most. Blues and reds are common in her wardrobe as well, but anything neon or bright just won't do.
• • • flaws: - Completely awkward in any social situation.
- Takes things way too seriously, and doesn't know how to wind down.
- Blushes when she feels any type of strong emotion. For being somebody who gets uncomfortable easily with any shown emotion, it's difficult for her when she blushes.
• • • secrets: - Her identity as a shapeshifter is a complete secret to everyone but her mother. The fact she is a shifter is a mistake, because of an accident experiment that occured when she was young. Her mother is extremelly embaressed of this, so she tells nobody about it. She thinks that by having Scarlett work for the FBI, she is redeeming herself for the 'freak' she's become.
- It is a secret to society that she works for the FBI. Her task is to track down shifters, but her friends don't know her real career.
• • • fears: - Relationships.
- People who are wittier or stronger than her.
- People figuring out her identity.
you won't have a chance to deny me
Her creation was intended, and her birth was perfect. She was delivered the exact day they had predicted, and she was healthy. Her father and mother were thrilled, at least as one would expect new parents to be. However, their lives didn't really, allow for a child. It was merely something they wanted to accomplish, and having the child made them happy. But they had little time to care for her. In her younger years, Scarlett was cared for by a babysitter all during the day. This gave her much time to do whatever she wanted. Strangely enough, as a child she didn't gravitate towards electronics or television. Instead, she picked up a book.
It was then, at that young age, that it became apparent she was quite the intellect. She taught herself to read, and by the time she was six entered school far ahead of her peers. Her mother and father were so impressed that they often brought her to the FBI with them, introducing her to the underworld of the government. However, it was on one trip in particular that would turn tragic. On that trip, Scarlett had wandered into a room full of cages, with tarps covering them. She'd wandered over to one in particular, which had a canine-type beast inside. Being but a child, she put her arm inside the cage to pet it, and that's when it happened. The wolf bit her, and wouldn't let go. Her father came running into the room, opening the cage and ripping the dog off her arm. Blood splattered the floor, and in the end Kosuke and her lay on the floor, both their arms tattered. Her mother found them, and bandaged them. It was unfortunate, however, that they had gotten bit by an experimental animal. The saliva from the beast mixed with their own, and within days both their eyes turned red. Her mother was determined not to let the FBI find out, so she did everything in her power to keep Scarlett hidden. As for her father, he fled. Nobody knows where, most surmise to another country, but he no longer resides in the US.
Life for Scarlett became tough. She grew up, holding back her abilities and never experiencing them unless it was in the privacy of her own room. She grew up being taught that she was a freak, and learned to despise her other half. Her mother remarried and had a son when Scarlett was eleven, which was no big deal to her. (She still fails to acknowleadge both her step father and brother's existances) She left high school at age seventeen because she'd passed all her required courses. She was immediately put into the FBI, because her mother works there. Currently, she is nineteen and they have finally placed her under Shifter work. Her job is to find them, and capture them.
